Your Guide to All Things Fall!

Your Guide to All Things Fall!

*Disclaimer* Take a sip of wine every time I say “Fall” in this post! *Second disclaimer* you might have a headache by the end of this post!

Why hello there! If you follow me on Instagram…. YES, I know I know. I’m talking about Fall yet again. I absolutely just cannot help it. It’s my favorite season and because it goes by so fast, I want to make the most out of it! While living in California, I didn’t really ever get true Fall seasons. Of course, we would have some chilly days here and there and the mornings were pretty chilly for the most part, but the leaves didn’t change colors and you couldn’t wear a peacoat after 10 a.m. I am going alllll out this year - so buckle up! I also feel like 2020 has been just all around horrible, so if something brings you joy out of this year, freaking embrace it! We all deserve a little happiness sprinkled into this crappy year.

I wanted to create a guide for all things Autumn (gotcha, I didn’t say the F word similar to Autumn!). I wanted to create a little page where you can find music, movies, home decor, tv shows, recipes, etc that will give you all of the cozy vibes. I absolutely LIIIIVE for the Fall season, so I hope you have as much fun reading this as I did writing it!

Music

Music is a huuuuge part of Fall for me. IYKYK, I make a playlist for everything. Absolutely everything. Music has always been very important to me, I have many different playlists for different moods that i’m in. I always need something playing in the background. I created a playlist that gives off alll of the cozy vibes - the playlist is literally called “Cozy.” It has slow, soothing songs that are just absolutely beautiful and will kind of make you feel like you transported to Forks, Washington and you’re in the middle of a Twilight movie. Turn off the lights, plug in some twinkle lights, light a candle and listen away!

See the “Cozy 2020” Playlist Here!

Movies/TV Shows

No, I promise these won’t all be scary movies! There are some movies and TV shows that I just HAVE to watch during Fall - like not watching them isn’t an option for me. Some of these I can’t explain why I need to watch them in the Fall, but some people have told me they have the same movie/tv list! Some of them are more on the Halloween side, but hey… It’s Fall. Fall = Halloween. I hope you add some of these to your list! Let me know how you like them! I tried to add a trailer to each movie/show if you have never heard of it :)

Stepmom
Practical Magic
Hocus Pocus
The Fault in Our Stars - One of the movies I can’t explain, I just always watch it in the Fall!
Gilmore Girls
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!
Casper
The Craft
You’ve Got Mail
When Harry Met Sally
The Blind Side
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Little Women
The Vampire Diaries
The Twilight Saga, because…well, duh.
Ever After
Phantom of the Opera

Recipes

I feel like my taste palette changes once Fall hits! My taste buds crave the flavors of pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, butternut squash, etc… I try to make the most of the limited Fall items at Trader Joe’s & Starbucks (YES I’m a basic b**** and I’m proud of it!), so I make a lot of the items that have squash, pumpkin and other cozy flavors. I will share a couple of my favorite recipes for Fall!

Air Fried Cinnamon Sugar Apples

I have to give credit to TikTok for this one. While I was doing keto, I got a looooot of healthy recipes on my For You Page on TikTok. I saw 2 different ways to do this - so I will share both!

Option 1:
- Cut apple with apple slicer. Coat each slice with cinnamon sugar. Place on parchment paper in the air fryer and cook at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. WOW. They come out all caramelized and warm. I put some light cool whip on top and it tastes like apple pie!

Option 2:
- Cut apple in half (cut out middle part where seeds are). Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on it. In a separate bowl, mix together a little melted butter, some oats, half a tsp of any kind of flour, cinnamon and sugar mixture and a little honey or maple syrup. Mix this all together and put on top of both apple slices. Bake in the air fryer at 350 for 15 minutes. Top with your fave vanilla ice cream or cool whip and WOWOWOW. Amazing.

Autumn Mimosa

I made this for the first time a couple years ago and my family just fell in love with it, so now we have it at every family gathering in the fall!

Trader Joe’s Honey Crisp Apple Cider
Prosecco (My favorite is La Marca!)
Honeycrisp apple slices for garnish
Cinnamon Sugar around the rim of the glass

That easy! Oh my it’s so yummy and perfect to sip on during the holiday season.

Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew

This is the drink I order at Starbucks almost every day, which was getting very expensive. Since I have so much time on my hands in quarantine, I perfected the recipe! I will have to adjust the recipe to make Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, which should be just adding pumpkin and nutmeg powder to the foam. I made a TikTok for it and you can find it here!

Home Decor for Autumn

Autumn Leaf Garland

I spotted these back in early August and YES, I know that was way too early for Fall decor. I literally couldn’t resist. I feel like we are all looking for something to lift our spirits during these unprecedented times…mine happens to be Fall decor! Just these 2 items immediately made my home feel so cozy and it felt like it was mid-October.

Fall Fashion

I cannot stop myself from buying all of the adorable sweaters when Fall comes around. I just love them! I’m so happy to actually have sweater weather this year, it’s not even funny how excited I am! Here are some adorable outfits for Fall I came across!

Sweaters

Dresses

Booties

Since it is only early September, I will probably do a part 2 of this post! It’s still very early, so not every store is filled with Autumn decor quite yet. Trust me… Once the stores are full decorated for Fall, I will probably have a part 2 AND 3 of this post. And then again for the holidays.

I seriously can’t help it. I love this time of year. It’s when I am happiest. Maybe it’s because i’m so happy to be home again for Fall or maybe it’s because this year has been so horrible… Whatever it is, I’m just so excited to curl up in a ball on the couch with my favorite Ugg blanket watching Hocus Pocus with a cup of cider in my hand. I feel like everyone is happiest this time of year, which I am very much looking forward to. We all need our spirits brightened a little since this year has just been so crazy.

Okay… did anyone count how many times I said “Fall” or “Autumn?” Are you a lil tipsy yet?
