The Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide!
Hello everyone! YES, I KNOW - it was literally Halloween yesterday and it is very early for a gift guide! I hope everyone had a fabulous, safe Halloween! Justin and I watched movies all day and ended with our tradition of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!” and ate pigs in a blanket made into mummies. Neither of us love spooky scary Halloween, but I could do Charlie Brown, Hocus Pocus and Tim Burton Halloween all day every day.
This last week, it snowed in Kansas City! We usually always get 1 snowfall before Halloween and this year was no different. We woke up and saw the white blanket all over our neighborhood and we got so happy. Justin calls me Lorelai Gilmore when it snows because I absolutely love the snow. Well, he calls me Lorelai Gilmore for every situation, which I am absolutely okay with. I love everything about it. How quiet it gets when it is snowing, snow angels, the sound of your feet walking through it, coffee all day being socially acceptable, etc… Justin absolutely loves the snow, he becomes a little kid on Christmas morning as soon as the snow hits the ground. As soon as we saw snow on the ground - we hopped up, put our boots on and headed outside. When I was younger and we would have snow days, I would always ask my sisters if they wanted to play in the snow and they never wanted to! I told Justin “I’m so happy to have a life long snow buddy.” (Sorry Ali and Kristina!) I love how much Justin loves snow.
Wow, yikes, sorry. Got side tracked just talking about snow lol. See what it does to me?! Back to gift guides! The snow really got me in the holiday spirit and I was feeling very motivated to create a gift guide early. This year has been hard for so many in so many ways. I know I am very excited for the holiday season to have a little joy put back into our lives this year. I can’t wait to listen to Christmas music while baking cookies and making soup, watch The Grinch and The Holiday over and over a million times, wrap presents (literally my favorite hobby lol), decorate the Christmas tree - I love absolutely everything.
I wanted to create a gift guide for many different categories. Thinking of what to gift a loved one can be so overwhelming, so I hope this guide provides some inspiration! Yes, you will notice that a lot is from Anthropologie - my favorite place. I can’t help it! Everything is so beautiful!
I hope this guide provided you with some inspiration for your own holiday shopping! I have started my lists of what to give my family, but I am always looking for new ideas and this list actually made me think of gifts I have never thought about getting before! I know starting Christmas on November 1st is frowned upon, but I just can’t help it this year. This has been a rather dark year for the entire world…why not start the joyful season a little early? We could all use a little joy back in our lives. I have made my annual holiday playlist and you can listen to it here! I kind of feel like when you live in a colder environment, you almost have to start Christmas early because the cold weather gets you in the holiday spirit. I am most definitely not skipping Thanksgiving this year - it is one of my favorite holidays!
Let me know if this list was helpful to you! Even if one person reads it, I just enjoy making these posts so much. Audience or no audience, this page makes me so happy.
Thank you so much for reading my gift guide and I hope you all have an amazing start to November!
