My Favorite Wedding Photos!

Hi everyone! Today is a special day because it is me and Justin’s 6 month wedding anniversary! That seems so crazy to me… It feels like yesterday that I woke up with butterflies in my stomach at 3 a.m. on September 14th, the morning of our wedding day. I remember waking up that day and feeling so much peace in my heart. I wasn’t stressed, I wasn’t freaking out, I knew this was the day I had been waiting my whole life for and it was finally here. That morning, it was just me and my dad sharing a cup of coffee on the kitchen island, talking about how this day was finally here and everything leading up to it. The day went by so effortlessly perfect and I had my absolute dream wedding. Everything was more beautiful than anything I could have ever imagined. We had the most amazing vendors who made everything come to life.

I thought it would be fun to share my favorite photos from our wedding and the story behind each photo! We had the most wonderful wedding photographers that captured the beauty of everything on our wedding day. It was so hard choosing my favorites!

Our amazing Calligrapher, Kaylyn of Pirouette Paper Company, truly brought out vision to life. She perfectly designed our invitation suite to be classic and bright.

This was just minutes after we said “I do!” You can see the pure happiness and it just makes me smile.

I got these shoes about 6 months before the wedding! I fell in love with them and knew they would be my perfect wedding shoes. The twinkles in the shoes matched the twinkles in my veil so perfectly.

Kaylyn also designed our seating chart to match our invitation suite! It had the same elements of the lavender sprigs and green leaves.

I mean this one is obvious…

Our floral designer, Jackie of Penelope Pots, truly brought our floral vision to life. She absolutely nailed it and made our ceremony/reception so whimsical and bright.

Rancho Las Lomas has this incredible bridge that connects the bridal suite to the ceremony/reception space and it was the perfect backdrop!

My bride squad means everything to me. These are the women that have been through so much with me and have stuck by my side through it all. They all have the kindest hearts and were the best bridesmaids ever. This was moments before stepping in our dresses in our robes from Plum Pretty Sugar!

24 Carrots and Jackie with Penelope Pots truly killed it with our reception design. I designed the layout of the tables, but they executed everything and brought it to life.

I have always loved the idea of a long table with tons of candles! I think it is just so romantic and makes it feel like a family dinner. We had 2 of these long tables on each side of the reception. 1 was for our entire bridal party and their guests and the other was for our friends.

This photo with my mom is so special to me. We had such a wonderful morning getting ready together and I will cherish this photo forever.

Not a lot of people know this, but one of the little presents Justin gave me was stitched into my dress! While taking photos, our videographer said “Can you hold up the dress and look at it?” While looking, I noticed the tiniest little pendant sewn into the inside of the bodice that said “I love you to the moon and back” I cried my eyes out! It was so sweet and it’ll now be sewn in my dress forever.

I absolutely love how the sun shines through the trees at Rancho Las Lomas. It creates such a magical glow!

This is one of those moments that I will always tear up over when I think back on it. This was my first look with my dad and it was just so special. He was the first important man in my life and there are so many emotions that you feel on the day of your wedding.

Fun fact: Justin and I were totally against doing a first look! We wanted me walking down the aisle to be the first time he saw me. It actually wasn’t until I watched Julianne Hough’s wedding video (TEARS!) that we decided to do a first look and I am so happy we did! It was such a great moment where it was just us during the craziest day.

I gifted my dad with a beautiful Tiffany’s frame on the day of the wedding! I had it engraved and it made for the perfect gift. I have since put a photo of us from the wedding in it and now it is something he will have forever!

This was right after the recessional! I immediately hugged my mom and we shared such a special moment.

The Fab 5!!! I absolutely LOVE that our family is growing and growing. It makes me so happy. My family means everything to me. My parents, my sisters and I are the fab 5!

I gifted my mom with a personalized handkerchief and a beautiful Kate Space necklace!

Justin gave one of his gift’s to me right after our recessional. It was a book of his vows and daily journal entries of the week leading up to our wedding. He wrote down his thoughts and feelings and it was so incredibly special. I can’t wait for our kids to read it on their wedding day and add to it.

Ok this one has a great story behind! One thing a lot of people don’t know about me is I used to be a Face Character at Disneyland! Cinderella has always been such a huge part of my life and I used to be Cinderella when I was little. My dad made this GORGEOUS glass slipper and had it covered in crystals. He surprised me with it after our first dance and it was just amazing.

The morning of our wedding, I wrote Justin a letter while we were on opposite sides of the venue. I wrote down all of my feelings and what I was thinking. Most of all, I just expressed how much I love him.

We had the silliest bridal party! They were all just so fun and we could not have picked a better group of people to stand by us.

Our wedding day is my favorite day. When I think back about everything, I can’t help but smile at everything. I know we’re only at 6 months, but it has been an amazing 6 months and I cannot wait for more anniversaries.

A few weeks ago I posted on my Instagram what you guys wanted to know about my wedding planning and I thought I would share the answers here!

1. Do you wish you cared less looking back at everything?

   • Not really! I put my heart and soul into this wedding and the planning of it. Any free time I had went into planning and envisioning everything and everything turned out perfectly.

2. How did did you choose your venue?

   • Justin actually found it first! Since he is a wedding DJ, he has seen almost every venue in Southern California. He kept telling me about this great venue and I kept saying “yeah yeah ok!” One day on Pinterest, I saw a photo of Rancho Las Lomas and flipped. It was so beautiful and Justin said “Bliss…that’s the venue I’ve told you about a million times!” I felt so silly. When he first took me to see it, I knew it was our venue. It felt straight out of a Disney movie. The colors, the flowers, the sun shining through the trees, it was truly special. I remember standing in the exact spot we got married and I looked at Justin and thought “this is it. This is where I want to say “I do .” It was the first and only venue we looked at!

3. Did you have any mock designs of your floral arrangements?

   • No we didn’t! We had 1 design meeting with our floral designer, Jackie of Penelope Pota Floral Design. She asked us very detailed questions of what we wanted and the vibe we wanted. I provided her photos and detailed descriptions. On the wedding day, I kept peeking outside to see the flower arch she was designing and I was already so happy. When I got to the ceremony, I was blown away. She took my random bunch of photos and scattered ideas and turned them into my dream floral arrangements. She KILLED IT. She knew exactly what I wanted. Jackie, we can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us.

4. Where are the bridesmaids dresses from??

   • Both of the dresses are from Nordstrom! My bridesmaids wore a light blue wrap dress by Wayf. I found these at Nordstrom and it seriously looked amazing on everyone! It was so flattering and they looked gorgeous! My sisters and Maids of Honor wore a beautiful, off the shoulder dress by Lux (also at Nordstrom!)
